Panic gripped a residential colony in Sikar city of Rajasthan where a male panther entered into an under-construction shopping complex.
However, the big cat did not harm anyone and was tranquilised by a team of the Forest Department.
"The panther entered into the basement of an under- construction shopping complex in Radhakrishnapura colony this morning. On receiving information, a team of police and forest officials reached the spot," DFO Sikar Rajendra Huda told PTI.

He said that the panther, aged around one-and-a-half years, was tranquilised by the Forest Department team which came from Jaipur. The feline was released in the forest in Sikar's Patan area.
"It was a populated area. He strayed into the urban area from the forest which is more than 10 km away from the place," another official of the Forest Department said.
