Jain, a 1978-batch officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, will take charge from Vilasini Ramachandran, a 1977-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, after her retirement on September 30, an official release said here today.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has also approved appointment of Amarjit Singh, a 1982-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, as Department of School Education and Literacy additional secretary with effect from August 23 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the IAS officer, it said.
The appointment of Rohit Nandan, a 1982-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, as Air India CMD in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary was also approved by the ACC with effect from August 23 by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer, the release said.
