Pankaja Munde attacks those trying to end her political career

In a veiled attack against her political opponents, Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Pankaja Munde Palwe alleged here today that "some people" have been trying to "end" her political career.

She made the statement at a function organised to unveil a statue of her father, the late BJP leader Gopinath Munde, at Dhagibore Gaon in Jalna tehsil, which was also attended by Jalna Guardian Minister Babanrao Lonikar, Shiv Sena MLA Arjun Khotkar and Zilla Parishad president Tukaram Jadhav.

She said that some people have been trying to tarnish her image and make negative propaganda against her.

She said that her father had faced similar attacks, but he stood, struggled and fought against all odds, adding that "I will struggle too".
 

The minister said that her opponents thought that her late father's legacy would be destroyed since he had no male heir, adding, that she would carry forward his legacy and thoughts.

She said that some people are attempting to finish off her late father's ideals.

My father had worked hard for the welfare and upliftment of poor without bothering about name or reputation, she said.
