"We want to make it clear that the issue concerning the displaced community is not that of an economic nature, but intrinsically a geopolitical one. This so-called construction and renovation package in the Valley does not even in the least address the homeland demand of the community", Panun Kashmir president Vijay Bhat said here.

Bhat alleged that the state and central governments were in the act of camouflaging the real issues of genocide and exodus, and that the new policy of rehabilitation was another game plan to push the community into a state of perpetual silence and to break their resolve to live as free citizens of the largest democracy of the world.

The judgement of the National Human Rights Commission that acts akin to genocide have been perpetuated against the Kashmiri Pandits makes a strong case for their comprehensive geopolitical settlement, he said.

"No amount of monetary allurement will waver the unflinching commitment of the exiled Pandits to the cause of a separate homeland", Bhat asserted.
