"Panun Kashmir today started door-to-door drive to tell people about the despondent condition and total shut down of power and water supply by the state government to displaced Kashmiri Pandits in Jagti township," said Daya Krishen Kaul, vice chairman of the organisation.
Accusing the government of discriminating with the Kashmiri Pandits, Kaul sought a nation-wide support for the cause of protesting residents of the township.
The inhabitants of the township are currently holding protest demanding better residential facilities.
Situated in Nagorta area on the outskirts of Jammu, the 4,200-flat Jagti township was inaugurated last year as part of Prime Minister's special package to provide better housing to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits living in various camps.
