Paper leak case: Six sent to jail

Six persons, including a woman, who were caught copying during their lower division clerk examination of Staff Selection Commission, were today sent to jail, a senior police officer said.

"Six persons, including a woman, who were caught copying during SSC examination yesterday, have been sent to jail," Additional Superintendent of Police Rajiv Malhotra said here.

He said that all the persons were caught with solved chits of the question paper.

Malhotra said the arrested persons revealed that one Rahul Rana of Sonipat in Haryana was mastermind of leaking the paper of lower division clerk exam.

Rana struck a deal with coaching operator of Khakhar Somveer Ahlawat for Rs three crore after which solved paper was sent to around 1,700 examinees through SMSes and WhatsApp, the ASP said.
 

He said two teams have been sent to Haryana and eastern UP to arrest those involved in leaking the paper.
