Differently-abled arm wrestler Manish Kumar is all set to attempt setting a world record by pulling a medium sized ship with his right hand.

Kumar, 36, said he is currently preparing for the attempt to take place at 'Bada Talab' (Upper Lake) in Bhopal.

"I am practising hard to pull a medium sized ship with my bare right hand at the Bada Talab. The date of the event is being worked out. It will happen shortly," Kumar told PTI on World Disability Day, today.

"No one in the world, as per my knowledge has pulled a medium sized ship with right hand yet," he claimed.

The para athlete, who was second in the disabled sitting men Plus 75 kg Right category at 37th World Para-Armwrestling Championship in Malaysia, said he can pull 150 kg with his right hand.

Kumar, whose lower body portion has been crippled by polio, had also participated in the Para World Arm Wrestling Championship in England and Brazil, held in 2006 and 2012, respectively.

He has also bagged gold at National Championship in both disabled and general people categories.
