The 'Vijayadashami Mahotsav' of the 141-year-old Parade Ramlila Society, the oldest in the city, will be held here from September 8 to October 5.
"The mahotsav will start with Ram katha by Mandakini Ram Kinkar from September 8 to 16," Mahendra Mohan Gupta, the president of the Ramlila society, who is also the chairman and editorial director of the Jagran group of newspapers, told a press conference here this evening.
"The lila of Lord Rama will be staged at the Ramlila ground from September 20 to 30 and artistes of the Ramlila Manch, Mathura will take part in it," he said, adding that 'Bharat Milap' will be staged on October 1 and Lord Rama's 'rajyabhishek' (crowning ceremony) on October 3.
On the occasion, Gupta also said the Sri Ram Educational Centre, which is run by the Ramlila society, was taking big strides.
