Paramour arrested for killing woman

Police today arrested a 28-year-old man accused of killing a woman and dumping her body in Chaterpura area of the city.

Kishan Meghwal alias Kanahaiya (28) also confessed to being in an illicit relationship with the 35-year-old victim, they said.

Meghwal, a resident of Jarkhoda village was yesterday arrested from his village, Bundi DSP Samandhar Singh said.

The accused allegedly had an illicit relationship with Dropadibai Aerwal, who worked as a daily wage labourer in Gumanpura village, the DSP said adding, the woman, a mother of three, left home with her jewellery to stay with Meghwal.

Meghwal choked her to death on October 9 when she refused to return to her husband and dumped her in the bushes near Balaji temple, he said.
 

Following the recovery of the body, police started the investigation and traced the mobile number of the accused after which he was arrested by a team led by Sadar police station SHO Abhishek Pareek, the officer said.
