Maharashtra's Pareen Shivekar shocked top seed Preethi Ujjini of Karnataka in three sets to sail into the singles semi-finals of the Rs 1.5-lakh prize money Dreamzkraft Khar Gymkhana All India women's open tennis tournament today.
Pareen, ranked a lowly 140, shocked the 27th ranked Preethi 6-1 4-6 6-1 to enter the last four for a meeting with Haryana's qualifier Himani Mor.
Himani got past Maharashtra rival Nupur Kaul inside an hour, chalking out a 6-0 6-4 victory in another quarter-final match here.
