Angry over fee hike in a private school here, hundreds of parents today staged a protest, demanding rollback of "unreasonable" hike.
The parents protested outside DPS Ghaziabad situated on NH-58 and alleged that school management has hiked fee by 40 per cent which is unreasonable.
"The school has increased fee in all categories, which was just like extorting money from parents," a protestor said.
Due to parents' protest, traffic was disrupted on National Highway 58 for several hours.
The parents also threatened that if their demand is not met, they would soon launch a series of protest against the school management.
As protest was intensified, officials of district administration rushed to the spot and tried to pacify protestors.
The parents called off their protest when ADM assured them that a committee would be formed to look into matter," a police officer said.
