The incident took place at Subalaya village under Rambha police station limit where a 20-year-old youth allegedly raped a school dropout minor girl on Tuesday. When the father of the victim when to accused youth's house, his parents allegedly beat him up.
The arrested couple is identified as Mangala Behera and his wife Rohini. Their son, the prime accused in the rape case was absconding, said inspector in charge of Rambha police station Jyostna Kanhar.
The victim who had sustained injuries in the incident, was first admitted at a nearby hospital at Rambha and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here. Her condition was stated to be stable, police said.
