Batting first, Lions surged to 182 for eight in their stipulated 20 overs with some fine batting display by Pranay Sharma (44) and Riaz Khan (37) before Nikhil Doru scored a brisk 24-ball 38 towards the end to help his team post a challenging total.

For Panthers, Aniket Choudhary, Rubal Tholia and Arvind Bhati shared couple of wickets apiece to restrict the rampaging Lions.

Chasing a stiff target, Sidharth Joshi (15) and Rohit Sharma (22) provided decent start to Panthers and with Parida holding the one end, things looked good until man-of-the-match Shrdhanand Yadav (4 for 39) struck vital blows to help Lions to a thrilling win.

Meanwhile, the match between Mustangs and Rhinos was reduced to 12 overs a side due to rain.

Put into bat, Mustangs scored 139 for six from 12 overs with useful contributions from Saurav Chouhan (44), Manjeet Singh (28) and Ashok Menaria (21).

In reply, Rhinos managed 120 for two despite a 35-ball 70 by Naresh Gehlot.

Naresh and Divya Pratap Singh (29) stitched a 65-run partnership for the second wicket, but that did not prove enough as Rhinos faltered at the last hurdle.

Rhinos' medium pacer Deepak Chahar, who is trying to get back to form after a forced lay-off, was impressive picking two for 29 while Divya claimed two for 30.

For Mustangs, Madhur Khatri and Chandrapal Singh shared a wicket each.
