Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala today alleged that the Prakash Singh Committee report was a "operation cover up" to help BJP and termed it "much ado about nothing."
Prakash Singh Committee report has turned out to be a shoddy attempt by BJP government to 'put wool over the truth' and hoodwink the people of State and the country, he alleged.
Sing was appointed Chairman of the Committee to inquire omissions and commission on the part of all officers of civil and police administration during Jat quota agitation from February 7 to 22.

"No wonder that the report maintains a conspiratorial silence on the suspect role of BJP Ministers and leaders in the entire episode," he said.
"Shockingly, it also gives a clean chit to State CID, one department that utterly and miserably failed to forewarn about the riots and possible damage," he said.
Prakash Singh Committee has questioned the role of 90 officers of State government but completely absolved itself of fixing their responsibility in the riots and has made no recommendation regarding taking action against these officers, he said.
"We reiterate our demand that a time bound investigation into the riots must be conducted through a sitting Supreme Court judge, responsibility must be fixed, action be taken against the guilty and full compensation should be given to all those, who lost their properties and lives during the entire unfortunate episode," he said.
