Parliament could have six-day holiday from August 15 to 20.

Both the Houses are likely to take holiday break on August 16 and 19 and is likely to sit on September 2 or 3.

While August 15 is Independence Day, the next day is Friday while Parliament does not sit on Saturday and Sunday. Since August 20 is Raksha Bandhan, it is taking a holiday on 19.

A discussion on the issue came up at the Business Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha, sources said.
