Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence chaired by former Uttarakhand chief minister Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri todayvisited the Indian Military Academy (IMA) here to take stock of the infrastructure and facilities at the prestigious institute.
The 10-member panel spent nearly an hour at the academy interacting with its Commandant Lt Gen SK Saini and undertook a conducted tour of its premises to assess facilities on the campus, an IMA release said.
The committee members were briefed about how IMA grooms trainees of various categories as Army officers, it said.

A conducted tour of the academy premises especially the war memorial, the historic Chetwode Hall and other wings was also undertaken by the committee members to view the training facilities and activities at IMA.
The team members also had an informal meeting with the officers of the academy.
