"Bend It Like Beckham" star Parminder Nagra is joining NBC's drama "The Blacklist" as a series regular.
Nagra will play Agent Margot Malik, a smart and strong FBI agent who befriends Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) and takes on a mentor role, the Deadline reported.
"The Blacklist", from Sony TV, stars James Spader as an ex-government agent on the FBI's most wanted list who surrenders with an offer to catch the most wanted terrorists, working with newly minted FBI agent Keen.

Nagra, 37, has a recurring role as Rachel in the television series "Psych". She also played Dr Neela Rasgotra in the medical drama series "ER".
But "Bend It Like Beckham" remains her break through performance. In the 2002 film, Nagra portrayed the role of Jesminder 'Jess' Bhamra, a British-Punjabi girl obssessed with David Beckham and football while her mother wants her to master cooking.
