Taking a jibe at Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, newly-formed political party Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) today said that his "glamour" has faded out in the coastal state.

"The glamour which Parrikar enjoyed post 2012 Goa Assembly election has faded out. It is fading out every passing day. The ground reality is that Parrikar is no more a hero for the people (in Goa) including BJP cadres," GSM president Anand Shirodkar told PTI on Wednesday.

The GSM, which is an off-shoot of Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM), completed its state wide tour today covering majority of the constituencies.

Shirodkar claimed during the tour that GSM has received overwhelming support from the people.

"We realised that the BJP cadres are not happy with its leadership, which does not allow them to grow. Few people have monopolised the party. The cadre is now getting attracted to GSM," he claimed.
