Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today welcomed the GST Council's decision to exempt sanitary napkins from the Goods and Services Tax.
"A welcome decision to exempt sanitary napkins from GST at the 28th #GSTCouncilMeet chaired by Shri @PiyushGoyal.
"An important step by @narendramodi government that is vital to the health and well-being of women and girls," Parrikar tweeted.
The 28th meeting of the GST Council was held in Delhi today.
