The national capital today saw partly cloudy skies, with the mercury settling a little below the 40 degree Celsius mark.
It was cloudy and sunny in patches and the maximum temperature today settled at 38.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal, a MeT department official said.
The humidity in air oscillated between 39 per cent and 67 per cent.

"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius respectively," the official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 36.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius.
