Parts of Rajasthan receives light rainfall

In a relief from the summer heat, light rains today lashed parts of Rajasthan where the highest temperature was recorded in Jaisalmer at 41.2 degree Celsius.

Barmer, Bikaner and Chittorgarh recorded day temperature at 40.8, 40 and 39.6 degree Celsius respectively whereas other places also recorded maximum between 39.4 deg and 36 .3 deg C, according to Met department here.

Meanwhile, isolated areas in Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner division recorded light rains, triggered by Western Disturbance since yesterday.

The state capital Jaipur receives 7 mm rainfall, followed by Pilani 1.2 mm, Ajmer 0.1 mm, Jaisalmer 1 mm and Churu 2.2 mm rains respectively.
 

The local Met office predicted that weather conditions are likely to remain the same during the next 24 hours.
