The cities which received rainfall include Patti, Amethi, Pratapgarh, Baberu, Jaunpur, Elginbridge, Handia, Kunda, Rajghat and Meja each, the Met department said.
It forecast that rain or thundershowers are likely at many places over the eastern region and one or two places in the western parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
