Light to moderate rains today occurred at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the MeT department, chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms was at Moradabad and Allahabad 3 each; Bareilly 2; Shahjahanpur, Jhansi, Orai, Handia, Bijnor and Nagina 1 each.
Temperatures rose appreciably in Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Agra divisions; increased in Varanasi, Faizabad, Kanpur and Jhansi divisions.
They fell in Moradabad division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
Temperatures were markedly below normal in Bareilly division and appreciably below normal in Lucknow and Meerut divisions.
Maximum temperature was 43.0 deg Celsius recorded at Banda and Orai.
The department predicted rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the state.
