Mumbai Metro Rail Corp, the execution agency for Colaba-Seepz corridor of Mumbai metro, today said all political parties have agreed to shift their offices located near the Maharashtra legislature complex here to make way for a proposed metro station.
"All political parties, including Congress, NCP, RPI, SP, Shiv Sena and Shetkari Kamgar Party, have assured complete cooperation for shifting offices to make way for the Vidhan Bhavan metro station. They all have promised assistance in identifying alternative accommodation before construction begins," Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) Managing Director Ashwini Bhide said in a statement.
As many as 26 government offices and eight party offices near the site of proposed metro station need relocation.

The parties want to be relocated near the Mantralaya (secretariat) and their representatives will make a proposal to the General Administration Department which will facilitate a meeting with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to find out a solution, Bhide said.
The offices of the political parties are expected to be relocated by May 1.
"I am sure, the entire construction of the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 corridor will now be completed with the intended speed and precision," said added.
