The Customs officials today detained a passenger carrying 2.75 kg gold valued worth Rs 75 lakh at the Jaipur International Airport.
Subhash Chand, a resident of the Sikar district, was stopped as soon as he landed at the airport here on a flight from Muscat yesterday, the officials said.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that Chand was to hand over the consignment to a man identified as Mohammad Khan who was waiting outside the airport, they said.
Khan, too, has been detained for interrogation, they added.
