A Delhi-bound passenger was Tuesday arrested after he was found allegedly carrying 13 live bullets at the Raja Bhoj Airport here, police said.
The man, Jasbeer Singh (38), who hails from Jind district in Haryana, was caught during the scan by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), police said.
"The CISF personnel caught Singh after he was found carrying 13 live bullets of .32 revolver without a firearm licence," Gandhinagar police station Inspector Praveen Chouhan said.
Singh was about to catch a private airline flight to Delhi, he said adding that the CISF handed him over to the police.
"We have booked Singh under the Arms Act and seized the live bullets from him as he did not have arms licence with him. Besides, carrying of arms and ammunition inside an airport is prohibited," Chouhan said.
The accused was produced in a court, which released him on bail, Additional Superintendent of Police Neeraj Soni said.
