The passing-out parade of 315 women constables was held at the Subsidiary Training Centre, Border Security Force, Kharkan, 14-km from here today.
Director General of BSF K K Sharma reviewed the parade as the chief guest.
The new recruit women constables of 244 and 245 batches took oath to uphold unity and sovereignty of the country.
Sharma said that these batches had representation from major state of the country including West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Telengana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland.
These 'mahila' recruit constables had undergone 44 weeks of tough basic recruit training which include subjects on weapon handling, war tactics, drill, combat training, human rights, among others, to make them perfect for facing all types of condition efficiently.
He exhorted the constables to be honest and fully committed in border management and internal security duties.

Sharma also appreciated the efforts put in by trainers and rewarded top position holders in various fields.
The recipients of the police medal for meritorious services were also presented with the medals.
