With a view to meet the high demand for passports, a passport mela was organised in Ghaziabad after similar camps were held in Delhi and Gurgaon.

The mela was held at the Ghaziabad Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) yesterday. Such camps were earlier organised in Delhi and Gurgaon as well.

As many as 450 slots were made available to passport seekers to ensure prompt issuance of passports. About 80 walk-in tokens were also issued by the recommendation of the Regional Passport Office.

Applicants can keep a track of their passport by checking the status online using their application reference number, a release said here.

The PSK employees assisted applicants by working extra hours and applicants were satisfied with the infrastructure, technology upgrades, etc, available at the camp, it said.
