Passport Seva Kendra to be opened in Haryana's Mahendragarh: MoS VK Singh

Union minister V K Singh today urged the people to use the services of authorised agents to seek employment abroad, to avoid any fraud.

The Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs also announced that a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) will be opened in Haryana's Mahendragarh district.

He made the announcement while addressing the people after inaugurating a PSK here, according to an official release.

While giving MP Dharambir Singh, all credit of opening of the PSK, the minister said it is only with his efforts, space has been made available at the post office for the Kendra.

With the opening of Passport Seva Kender in Bhiwani, people of this area would not have to go to Hisar, Gurugram, Chandigarh and Ambala.

 

The MoS urged people to go through the medium of authorised agents for work abroad so as to avoid any fraud, according to the release.

For this, the Ministry of External Affairs has also directed the officers concerned, he said.

He said earlier, about 97 PSKs were there in the country, but in order to make this service available to the common people, the ministry has decided to open this service at post offices.

In the first phase, 290 centres have been identified with an aim to ensure the facility of PSK within a distance of 50-60 km. This is the sixth such Kendra to have been opened in the country, according to the release.
