A pastor was seriously injured when a man slashed his neck with a broken beer bottle, unhappy with the 'advice' given to him over repayment of a loan, police said.
"Pray to the Lord, who will wipe away all your tears and solve the problem," the pastor told the man last night when he sought his advice over repaying a Rs 80,000 loan he had taken.
The infuriated man, staying next to the pastor at a lodge in the city, then took out a beer bottle, broke it and stabbed the pastor in the neck, police said.
The 40-year-old pastor has been hospitalised.
