BJP ally and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan today condemned the killing of a man in Rajasthan's Alwar, allegedly because he was smuggling cows, and asked the state government to take strict action against culprits without any delay.

The Lok Jan Shakti party president said it's a highly condemnable incident.

"The LJP strongly condemns the lynching of Akabar by a crowd in Rajasthan's Alwar in the name of cow smuggling," he said in a tweet.

Akbar Khan, 28, and his friend Aslam were taking two cows to their village in Haryana through a forested area near Lalawandi in Alwar district last night when five men attacked them, police said.

Reacting to incidents of lynching, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yesterday said in the Lok Sabha that state governments should take strong against people involved in such violence.
