Accusing JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar of being responsible for a Constitutional crisis in Bihar, Union Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today asserted the situation "is fit for imposition of President's Rule there".
"There is a Constitutional crisis in Bihar. It is a fit case for imposition of President's Rule there. Nitish Kumar is responsible for it," Paswan told reporters here on the situation in his home state of Bihar.
"Why did Nitish Kumar resign for his party's poor performance in the last Lok Sabha elections. (Chief Minister) Jitan Ram Manjhi was his dummy candidate. After he became Chief Minister he has gone after Manjhi and not allowed him to work," he said.

"Kumar is very cunning. He has broken all political parties, including my Lok Janshakti Party, RJD, CPI earlier. He is a master of defection and horse trading", he said.
"He (Nitish) has no faith in his own MLAs that they will stay with him. So he is keeping them away outside Bihar in Noida in Uttar Pradesh", accused Paswan.
"Let Manjhi prove his majority on the floor of the Assembly on February 20 as fixed by the Governor. If both sides have no majority and the instability continues, then President's Rule will be recommended by the Governor," Paswan said.
On Nitish Kumar's accusations about BJP writing the script for Manjhi asserting he has majority to continue as Chief Minister, Paswan shot back, "why BJP? NDA will not support".
