Paswan, Kushwaha lead run for unity

Union ministers Ramvilas Paswan and Upendra Kushwaha today promoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative on Sardar Patel and led the run for unity in honour of the "iron man" in the state.

Paswan's son and LJP MP Chirag Paswan and district level BJP leaders joined people from different walks of life in run for unity here, the Lok Sabha constituency of the LJP President.

Paswan administered oath to citizens to work for unity of the country on the occasion of 139th birth anniversary of the first Home Minister of the country celebrated as "Rashtriya Ekta Divas."

LJP and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party of Kushwaha are ally of BJP in NDA.
 

Kushwaha, who is Union minister of state for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, said that the country was battling threat from within as well as outside and called upon people to rise to the occasion.

He said the run was to give message of unity in the country and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his initiative.

Paswan, Kushwaha and others also reminded people of the cleanliness drive launched by the PM across the country.
