Law and order has deteriorated significantly and the state government seems to have lost control over the situation, Paswan alleged while talking to reporters.

From 2005 to October 2012, over 10 lakh cognisable offences have been witnessed in the state. Over 25,000 people have been murdered during the period which also saw over 5000 cases of dacoity, he claimed.

While Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shed tears over cases of rape taking place outside the state, he ignored over 7000 cases of rape within the state during his time. A total of 823 cases of rape occurred in the state from January to October 2012 itself, he added.

He also referred to hooch tragedies alleged irregularities in implementation of MNREGA scheme to stress his point of NDA's 'misrule'.
