Pati becomes Odisha Chief Secretary

Senior IAS officer Gokul Chandra Pati today formally assumed office of the Chief Secretary of Odisha here today.

A 1978 batch officer, Pati took charge of the office here on his arrival from New Delhi this evening.

Pati replaced J K Mohapatra to be the 41st Chief Secretary of Odisha.

Mohapatra has been appointed as the secretary, fertiliser, under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.

"My priority would be development of agriculture, farmers, preparedness for calamities, infrastructure development and industrial progress," Pati told reporters after assuming the charge.
