Patiala resident dies of Swine Flu

Jasveer Singh, a resident of SST Nagar Patiala, had returned from Georgia a few days back and suddenly fell ill, according to family members.

Earlier he had fever and was continuously vomiting. After several medical check ups he was referred to DMC, Ludhiana.

Singh was tested positive for swine flu on October 8 and later succumbed to the decease on October 16, a spokesman of DMC Hospital at Ludhiana told PTI.

A Patiala hospital spokesman said that based on the report from Ludhiana regarding his testing positive for swine flu, they have given medicines to 24 persons who were in contact with the patient.
