Patient dies of shock after car collides with ambulance

A 45-year-old patient allegedly died of shock after the ambulance taking him to a hospital was hit by a car in central Delhi's Daryaganj, the police said today.

The incident happened yesterday morning. The car driver has been arrested, they added.

Maha Singh, accompanied by his brother and nephew, was being taken to the GB Pant Hospital.

He died of shock as the ambulance overturned after being hit by the car, the police said.

The other persons in the ambulance suffered injuries, they added.

The police are probing whether the accused was drunk at the time of the accident.
