A patient at Bolpur Super speciality Hospital in Birbhum district today died after he allegedly jumped from the second floor of the hospital.
The patient identified as Bisu Tudu (37), a resident of Bandanga village was admitted to the hospital on Monday.
He suddenly jumped from the second floor of the hospital when the nurses tried to give an injection to him, said Himadri Ari, Chief Medical Officer Health (CMOH) of Birbhum.
"What happened is very unfortunate. I have ordered the hospital super to start an inquiry and submit the report as early as possible, the CMOH said.
