Congratulating the five IAS probationers of 2011-12 batch, who called on him today, Patil said they should not only make just use of the law and the power at their disposal but also deal with people humanly.
Patil said they have to take correct decisions even if they might face difficulties.
Besides, he said they have to understand the policies and plans made by the state and union government.
For that the Governor advised them to read parliamentary debates.
