Patna today recieved a good
rainfall in the afternoon giving much needed respite from the sultry weather conditions that prevailed in the capital for the past couple of days.
Light to moderate rainfall occurred in a few places in other parts of the state, Met office said.

Purnea received 21.6 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours (recorded between 8:30 am on Monday to 8;30 am on Tuesday), followed by 12.6 mm in Gaya, 6.7 mm in Bhagalpur and 0.6 mm in Patna, it said.
Places like Bihpur, Tekari received 5 cm rpt 5 cm while Phulparas registered 4 cm and Hussainganj, Triveni received three cm each, Met office said.
Among the four major cities of the state, Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 36.5 degrees Celsius, followed by 35.4 deg C in Patna, 34.5 deg C in Gaya and 32.9 deg C in Purnea.
In its forecast, Met office said that Patna, Purnea and Bhagalpur would witness generally cloudy sky with moderate rain tomorrow while Gaya was expected to witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower.
