Eminent educationist Dr Satyakam Mishra today assumed charge as the member of Odisha Public Services Commission (OPSC) here.
Similarly, former bureaucrat Ajit Kumar Patnaik, who was previously officiating as the acting chairman of the Commission, took charge as its Chairman on Tuesday.
The notifications of appointment of Patnaik and Mishra were made on Tuesday itself by the state government. The Commission is now still short of two more members.
Official sources said the Commission would soon get its full strength.
Requisitions from the state government for recruitment into several posts of class-I and class-II posts will be addressed by the Commission soon, they added.
