Patnaik seeks public support to fight against corruption

Chief Minster Naveen Patnaik today called upon the people of Odisha to work for detection and prevention of corruption and extend support to the anti-corruption efforts of the govenrment.

Patnaik was speaking at the inauguration of the state-level function of Vigilance Awareness Week-2017 here and administered the pledge of honesty and integrity to the gathering.

He said, anti-corruption and transparency are the two major planks of the state government and the vigilance department has taken proactive steps to reach out to the people through social media to facilitate lodging of complaints.

The chief minister also called upon all public servants to be committed to curb corruption.
 

As advised by the Central Vigilance Commission, the Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from October 30 to November 4, 2017 throughout the state.

Cash prizes and trophies were distributed by the Chief Minister to vigilance officers and winners of different competitions held on the ocassion.
