Congress candidate from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency Nana Patole concluded his campaign Tuesday by taking out a motorbike rally through the city.

Patole is pitted against sitting MP and Union minister Nitin Gadkari in the election.

Speaking to PTI, Patole said the development carried out by Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Nagpur had led to increase in tax burden.

"Nagpur is facing highest tax rates in the country since 2016. Property and water taxes have increased ten times. Electricity bills have also increased," the Congress leader alleged.

Gadkari did not fulfil his promise to create employment for local youth and job creation was affected severely by the Goods and Services Tax and demonetisation, Patole said.
