The 26-year-old "Twilight Saga" actor will team up with the Canadian filmmaker once again in a long-gestating project called "Maps to the Stars", reported Ace Showbiz.
The British actor says he is not sure when they would kick off the production.
The film is based on a screenplay written by Bruce Wagner. The story revolves around two child actors who are ruined by Hollywood's depravity.
"It's about child stars. It's very funny. It's very, very dark," Pattinson said, who started young in showbiz with a role in "Harry Potter".
"Cosmopolis" will hit the theatres on August 17, the same day as action film "The Expendables 2" and animation film "Paranorman" open nationwide.
