Mobile payments firm Paytm has taken its cashless solution to academic campuses with a strategic partnership with Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
Following this the users can now pay university fees and dues, hostel fees, cafeteria bills as well as buy books and merchandise through the Paytm Wallet.
"We have enabled wallets for admission and fee collections in some of the most prominent educational institutions and now students can also pay at canteens, cafeterias, tuck shops and other vendors on campus with their wallets," Paytm Senior Vice President Kiran Vasi reddy said.

Havas Media bags media mandate for MoneyView * Havas Media Group India today said it has bagged the integrated media mandate of money management app MoneyView.In.
The account will be handled from the Havas Media's Bengaluru office, the company said in a statement.

TCS's Canadian arm inaugurates office in Toronto
* TCS, country's largest software exporter, today said its Canadian arm has inaugurated an office in downtown Toronto to serve key markets.
The facility, located near the iconic CN Tower, is spread over 50,000 sq ft on three floors, and will act as a hub for technical innovation, partner collaboration and client service, a statement from the Tata Group company said.
"TCS is committed to its growth agenda in Canada," its president for North America, UK and Europe Surya Kant said.
The company has been present in the North American country for over 25 years, serves over 100 clients in Canada and has offices in Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver, it added.

HDFC's new service 'mobile recharge by missed call' * HDFC Bank, country's second largest private sector lender, today launched a service under which customers will be able to do a mobile service recharge using a missed call.
The customer will have to do a one-time registration by sending an SMS to a number, after which she would be able to use the service, a statement from the bank said.
Even though Rs 50 will be set as the default recharge amount, a customer can select any amount between Rs 10 to Rs 250 as her favourite.
The next time when she is in need of a recharge, the customer will have to give a missed call to the number and the amount will get credited into her mobile phone account from the HDFC Bank account, the statement said.

Federal Bank launches exclusive outlet for Start-ups * South-focused private sector lender Federal Bank today launched an exclusive outlet for Start-ups, where the budding entrepreneurs will be offered advisory services and customised banking solutions.
Christened as "Launchpad" the outlets have been started initially in Bengaluru and Kochi, the bank said in a statement issued here.
The lender is one of the first ones to create a Rs 25 crore fund to be invested in start-ups.
