Pb CM to unfurl tricolour on Independence Day at Gurdaspur

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will unfurl the national tricolour on August 15 in Gurdaspur, as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The spokesperson from the Chief Minister's Office disclosed this here today. He said Amarinder has also deputed his Cabinet colleagues to preside over the Independence Day celebrations at various district headquarters in the state.

Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Rana KP Singh would hoist the national flag at Patiala, Health Minister Brahm Mohindra at Ludhiana, Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu at Ferozepur and Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal at Mansa.

Apart from that, Forests Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot will hoist the tricolour at Hoshiarpur, Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa at Jalandhar, Irrigation and Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh at Amritsar and Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi at Faridkot.
 

Minister of State for Education Aruna Chaudhary would unfurl the national flag at Sangrur, Minister of State for Public Works Razia Sultana at Bathinda and Deputy Speaker- Punjab Vidhan Sabha Ajaib Singh Bhatti at Ropar.
