Punjab unit of Congress today welcomed the passage of the National Food Security Bill in the Lok Sabha.
Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa thanked UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for fulfilling the promise of providing food security to 82 crore people in the country.
In statement here, Bajwa said that clearing of Food Security Bill by Lok Sabha was a "historical" moment.
