Pb govt forms drug advisory committee

A drug advisory committee has been formed to suggest ways to the Punjab government to curb the drug menace in the state, an official said today.

The committee will comprise 9 members, led by Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration whereas the State Drug Controller has been inducted in the committee as Member Secretary, he said here.

Assistant drug controllers of Punjab drug testing laboratory, Chandigarh and representative of drug manufacturing association, Mohali are also among the members of the committee, he said.

The term of the committee will be of two years and members of it will meet at least once in three months, he said.
