PB govt's employment mission to be launched on Sep 5

The Punjab government will formally launch "Ghar Ghar Rozgar", its employment mission on September 5.

The launch will be kicked off with an 'Employers Meet' at ISB, SAS Nagar.

A spokesperson said the 'Employers Meet' will serve as a platform to get insights from the industry and employers on various aspects of employment generation strategies.

The objective of this initiative is to have wide-ranging conversation with the industry directly in exploring the existing opportunities and creating future opportunities for employment.

He said the conference will draw employers from different segments MSME, large and mega industry and different sectors of industry such as manufacturing, construction, retail, food processing, hospitality, IT etc.
 

Those who will participate in the event include Isher Judge Ahluwalia, Chairperson, India Council for Research on International Economics, KrishIyer, India CEO, Walmart, Paul Oswal, Chairman, Vardhman Textiles, Rajinder Gupta, Chairman, Trident Group, A S Mittal, Vice Chairman, Sonalika International Tractors, among others, spokesman said.

The government is committed to provide every household in the state with at least one job to the eligible youth in the family, he said.
