Pb govt to showcase 'achievements' through LED video vans

At least 100 LED video vans will be deployed across Punjab over six months to showcase the SAD-BJP government's achievements during its nine-year rule in the state.

"Punjab government is in the process of hiring 100 LED video vans in order execute consistent awareness campaign in the state to disseminate information about the various citizen-centric welfare schemes and big projects completed by it in the last 9 years," Secretary, Information and Public Relations, Rahul Tiwari said.

The campaign would start from mid-April and continue till mid-December and cover every nook and corner of the state, Tiwari said.

He said the state government will launch citizen-centric schemes this month. On April 11, functions would be organised in each district to kickstart the campaign for distribution of farmers' insurance cards.
 

On April 12, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal would launch a campaign for the distribution of traders' insurance cards by visiting various grain markets.

On April 21, automated driving test centers to issue driving licenses would be inaugurated.

On April 30, newly constructed gaushalas would be inaugurated in each district.

Tiwari said Cabinet Ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries and local leaders would preside over the functions.
